PSYCHIC'S, ASTROLOGY, HOROSCOPE, PALM READING, TAROT CARDS, FORTUNE TELLER'S. CHANNELING, OUIJA BOARD, MEDIUMS & SEANCE.

            What does all of the above have in common? People have resorted to all of these things. The people turning to these things are seeking information usually about their own future. Sometimes they are trying to find out information they believe will only be known by the deceased. In all cases it falls outside the realms of science into the area of the supernatural. This reminds me of a quote I heard. Unfortunately, I do not remember who said it. "I know not what the future holds but I know who holds the future" Ironically the people that turn to these things are trying to find out the future. These same people will answer to the one that does indeed control the future namely GOD. Some people are under the impression that some things such as Astrology are scientific and even condoned in the Bible. For this article I will cover the following areas.
1. Is Astrology scientific?
2. Is Astrology & Psychic phenomena condoned in the Bible?
3. If Astrology, Psychic's and other such practices are not scientific why do people turn to them?
4. Does the Bible condemn Astrology, Psychic's, Horoscopes, Palm Reading,
    Tarot Cards, Fortune Tellers, Channeling, Ouija Boards, Mediums, Seances and other
    such practices? And if so why?                                           
5. Even if the Bible does condemn these things why should that bother me?

1. Is Astrology scientific? The claims of astrology being scientific have drawn lots of criticism from scientist throughout the world. The US News & World Report had an interesting article written about this on May 24th 1976. The article tells us concerning astrology, " that scientist scoff at such beliefs." The article also states the following concerning astrology,  "a group of 186 eminent U.S. scientist recently published a lengthy statement saying that there is no scientific evidence to support it". The statement was written by Prof. Bart Bok, formerly president of the American Astronomical Society
and professor emeritus of astronomy at the University of Arizona. It appeared in the Humanist, published by the American Humanist Association, and 18 Nobel Prize winners were among those who signed the statement."
